Lounge Review: ABC Business Lounge, Lisbon, Portugal (LIS)

The ABC Business Lounge in Lisbon International Airport (LIS) is in that “better than nothing” category. The only reason I can see to swing by this lounge over any of the other Priority Pass lounges at LIS is the shower. Of the three Priority Pass lounges in Lisbon International, only two have a shower, and only the ABC Business Lounge includes shower access at no extra charge.

Getting there

This is one of those rare airport lounges that is landside, which means it’s located pre-security. If you look up to your right as soon as you walk into the main entrance at Terminal 1, you’ll see a banner for the lounge, which indicates exactly where it is. Take an elevator up a couple floors and walk towards the banner to find the lounge’s glass-door entrance.

Need a haircut at the airport? Lisbon’s got you covered.

Walking through the glass doors, we walked up to a check-in desk with a note to move on to “reception B”, which is around the corner and well into the main part of the lounge. We checked in, grabbed a couple seats, and hopped onto the wi-fi.

More like slo-fi.

Inside

This is not a large lounge and is obviously geared towards business conference clientele. In the front part of the lounge, there are 4 couches and 12 chairs, with a handful of high-tables, each with a couple of chairs, in the back area.

In the middle were a number of conference rooms – nothing too exciting.

I don’t know how new the lounge is, but it was being worked on while we were there. I wouldn’t doubt they’ll add more seating in the back once it’s fully up and running.

Food and drink

This is where the lounge falls short of most other lounges. There’s a fridge with bottled water, juices, soda, and beer, a coffee machine (that didn’t work when we were there), a kettle with some tea options, and packaged pastries, crackers, and chips. So, just don’t expect to eat a meal here.

Like I said, this lounge is better than no lounge, but unless you want a shower, you’re better off making your way straight over to one of the other airport lounges that have more food options and are located after security so that you don’t have to stress so much about when to leave the lounge to board your flight.
